Developed my first roll of film in at least 10 years here. Great and quick service. I was shooting on a new camera and some photos were fairly underexposed (my fault); the person taking my info had advice for my next roll, and I'm excited to see the difference when I drop it off next week.

Had not shot film in 20 years. Wanted to get back to my roots. It was definitely a chore finding a place to process my film and give me contact sheets. They did a fantastic job! When the order was ready, I didn’t feel like taking an hour drive, They were able to package it up, ship it out and I had it in a couple of days. I couldn’t be happier!

I had 5 rolls of C41 35mm film processed here recently. One of the rolls was damaged during development, it was not loaded on to the reel properly and two frames were damaged. The production manager was kind and apologized, they refunded the cost of the roll.

I have used this lab previously with no issues. However, since they are a professional lab and are expensive, I expect film to always be processed error free.

In 30 years as a professional photographer, this is the WORST experience I have ever had at a lab. They ruined 5 rolls of Ektachrome, completed the order a week late, couldn't return a phone call, and incorrectly charged the order to start. This place is a COMPLETE DISASTER! You have been warned. Read the other reviews and believe them. Go to Richard Photo Lab instead. RPL makes mistakes sometimes but they would never ruin your film and they correct their mistakes immediately. AVOID this place at all cost!

I like the Icon. I cant say I love the Icon. Having used various labs around Europe and NY I would say the Icon ranks around a 3.5. Its a fast turnaround for sure. But more often than not when i get my negatives back they have a bunch of dust. Now. Being a pro lab means you expect a level of quality and service. If you are in London and go to Bayeux for example, or Brian at BDI you definitely get that. Everything is sleeved, no dust and even cut, all for a single price. You can even push or pull your film and you want get charged. They are in one of the most expensive parts of London, Bayeux is not far from The Photographers Gallery. So they could easily nickle and dime you for every penny and say its because they are "pro" and in central London. More importantly, I or my assistant has never spent a huge amount of time on dust. So I dont really understand the Icon and where it sits as a self proclaimed "Pro Lab" I cant say it is. Its a GOOD lab. But you can send your negatives off to NY and get them back the same week for half the price and they come back spotless. If you are not in a rush of course. And thats from some home grown labs. I have to add, I am not the only person that feels this way. In my travels I have bumped into various artists /photographers that have had this experience from the Icon. I would say test them out and then test out some in NY. Then decide.

Ordered one 12x18 print on metallic paper from them for a Christmas gift. The print came out great, which is of course the bulk of my rating. There are a lot of aspects of running a good business but the most important is that they do what they are supposed to do, and well. This they succeeded in.

The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the price and the seemingly unorganized nature of the business. Prices are a bit too high compared to other print shops in the area. As far as being organized, my print was supposed to be ready Monday. I called and they said it was still in processing but then she went back and the lab said it was done. Then when I arrived it was another 10 minutes to find the print. Either way, print came out good and if they can just get a little more organized it would be better. It was also the Christmas season so I will be updating this review on a future order when it’s not as busy.

Do not use Icon if you are a professional photographer. I trusted Icon to print and ship photos in proper packaging to a client, which they failed to do - costing me money and much embarrassment. The photos arrived to my client bent and damaged as they were packaged in a flimsy cardboard that could clearly not withstand a cross country mailing.
I reached out to Icon, explained what happened and requested that they re-print the photos and ship them out again with proper hard-sided protection. They refused, shifted all the blame to USPS and offered me no reimbursement. I was wholeheartedly disappointed in both their inability to provide proper shipping service (which I paid for!) as well as in their subsequent lack of accountability and poor customer service.
I will no longer be using Icon as a printing resource - and if you value your professional reputation and good customer service then you shouldn't either.

Just placed my first couple small ticket orders and I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience with The Icon. I’m pretty clueless about all the expertise and knowledge required to create beautiful prints and the staff here is AMAZING. Stacy is truly the best - so caring and professional and helpful in creating the perfect product no matter how small. She’s been so patient with me ! I’m so happy I made the call and asked questions. Never using “big box” or online print services again. I just love my experience here !
