I used to be a customer of ADT and will no longer utilize their services. They’ve become completely commercial with mandatory 2 to 3 year contracts and try and throw on extra costs on monthly alarm monitoring fees.
I found Smith-Thompson Security who had rave customer reviews. Their monthly monitoring services are half the cost of ADT And the entire process with installation, thanks to Clint, was seamless, professional, and efficient. Top-notch security company very pleased so far with their services as well as the cell phone app that comes with the alarm system. Awesome company, and staff!

We have been longtime customers of Smith Thompson and rarely need service; however we recently had carpeting replaced with laminate resulting in the power to alarm panel being cut. We were very fortunate to have John as our service tech to make the repairs. He was friendly, kind and very knowledgeable. He helped us get back up and running quickly and efficiently. BEWARE of this company and believe the negative reviews in spite of the lashback customers get from the owner.

I should have known this owner would come back and spread lies about me. I read his review responses in 2015 and saw how completely unprofessional he was to anyone that gave him a bad review. I did not want a new system for free- I asked them to come replace their equipment that was broken and they wanted to charge me for their broken property. And by the way, we never had Brinks in this house so that’s another lie. Their technician attached the power source in the wall for their equipment. The light is coming from a faceplate that was on the wall when their technician attached the power source. I did not bully anyone, but they were so intent on not listening to the problem or helping that I did get angry. This owner- Mark - is a real piece of work.

I also attached pictures (since he said they didn’t hardwire) that shows exactly where they did hardwire the power supply in the wall.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Had their service since 2015. Their equipment broke and they won’t replace it nor will they come remove what they wired in to my house. Literally- the hardware is broken and they want me to pay a service charge as well as pay for new equipment. They also said that we installed their equipment (because they said they didn’t) and that they won’t remove it but I am not an electrician or technician to be able to do any of this. It is a fire hazard with their property and they will not service it. Stay far away!!

Love Smith Thompson Pest Control. Reasonable pricing at intervals you want. (No forced monthly or bi-monthly). Scheduled in advance with easy communication to reschedule when you are home, or you can just have the outside done. Technician called when about 30 minutes out. Great communication all around. And, the bugs are gone. Almost forgot to mention the most important thing. They also knock down wasp nests and spider webs outside. Great job!

Excellent customer service. Couldn't ask for anything else and has been the same for ten years. Unbelievably they are family owned and by a large margin the least expensive of any other service I have researched
Highest recommendation and urge anyone to try them. Can always go back to prior service but I know you won't. Can pay a year in advance and receive a month free. Literally was half the price of any other service I can find. I am in no way affiliated with this company other than as a customer and I rarely give positive reviews even for companies I like.
