I had Australian passport photos taken at the Wheat Ridge location, but they were rejected twice (mainly for quality and lighting). To be fair, these passport pictures are known to be challenging to get approved. I then went to the Boulder location for my third try, where I noticed they used better lighting and a reflector panel. I'm giving 4 stars because the staff at Wheat Ridge were friendly and didn't charge me for the second photo. However, I was disappointed with the inconsistency in how photos are taken across different branches. I suggest visiting Boulder for Australian passport pictures since the Boulder location seemed to have a better technique to get the lighting correct.

I have been going to Mike’s Camera for years. They have the best quality prints and fast turnover. I order online and am usually able to pick up that day. I love that they have small print options {3x4} and the white border option is a plus. I’m a member and the cost vs the discounts I receive throughout the year definitely more than equals out. Highly recommend.

I decided to try and get the Fuji X100VI since I had a great experience with Mike's when I bought my X100V. After my experience this time around, I will never buy anything from Mike's again.

When I called and put myself on the wait list for the X100VI, I was told I would in in the early 20s and that it would be roughly 1-2 months before I got the camera (I figured around 3 months because of the supply chain issues). This sounded great and I put the deposit down.

I called about two months later to ask where I was on the wait list and I was in the 40s... I was told they had moved people ahead of me that were waiting for the older X100V. I would have appreciated being told this earlier.

I called about another month later to see if my spot had moved quicker than I had hoped. I was told now that I was in the 60s. The person I spoke with on the phone was unaware why I had moved down on the list for a second time, blamed it on 'the system', and said there was nothing that could be done. My 1-2 month wait has turned into probably around a year at this point. This is just extremely frustrating, I would have never put a deposit down for this camera if I had known this would be my experience.

Will never recommend Mike's Camera to a friend

Majority of the staff is not particularly friendly. Takes 3 plus weeks to get prints/scans back from film. Would highly recommend using their other location - a lot more staff and they turn around film requests super quick, sometimes same day or day after

I had two rolls of film developed by Mike's Camera, Wheat Ridge. Upon pickup one of the rolls was missing. The gentleman at the counter informed me that no other roll was given to them. Thankfully, I had the confirmation number to prove I had in fact dropped it off. After about 24 hours they located the film, and rushed to develop it. Upon pick up, they once again could not locate the film for about 10 minutes. Since the sentimental and irreplaceable film was of my daughter's birth, I found this to be a frustrating experience. Back in the market for a professional photography store.
