If I could give 6 stars I would. I've been coming to Mike's Camera since moving to Boulder years ago. I've always have good experiences.

Two weeks ago, I came in a little distraught. My kids and I moved across town as the result of a highly contentious (and expensive) divorce. I wanted to have some of their artwork framed to make our new place feel like home. I had been to Michael's and was quoted $200+ per picture. I couldn't afford or justify spending $600+.

I brought the artwork to Mike's with little hope that they would be less expensive. I was sent upstairs to work with Krystal. She went above and beyond. Krystal is an empath and problem solver, found returned frames on clearance, and was able to beautifully frame the artwork quickly and beautifully. I should mention that one piece is three dimensional and Krystal had no problem figuring out what was best. It looks like a museum piece.

Krystal was super communicative, understood my goals and my budget. She understood the emotional distress I was under. Krystal over delivered on her promise, and I'm tearing up just writing this. I wish I could give her a gift rather than an online review.

Had a client ask for a print and have used mikes camera in the past for metal and paper prints with a great experience however this time was different. I submitted an order for a metal print in April and after a few weeks of not seeing anything about shipping and asking my client if it’s been delivered they said no. I called mikes camera and they said they would look in to it. The next day they called me back and said something about their system glitching and my picture file being corrupted. Told me to submit another order for pickup and they would take the picture file from that and use it on the one for my client and get it shipped out. So I did. A few weeks later nothing had happened so I called again. I told them the file used on the pickup that never got printed was supposed to take place of the one to be shipped to my client and all that. They said they aren’t sure what happened and they would get it resolved. A few more weeks went by and nothing happened. I called again. They said they didn’t know what happened but would get it resolved. Again a few weeks and nothing happened. Almost 3 months after placing the 2 orders and neither order being printed and I finally cancelled the orders and ordered from another online printing service where the same picture file was used and the prints were delivered in a week. I don’t know why these orders never got printed and every time I called they said they would take care of it but nothing ever happened and I never got a call about any issues. They never took responsibility for the problems and always just blamed their systems. The worst part was the fact that they kept saying they would get it fixed and then seemingly did nothing and never contacted me about any issues after saying it would be resolved. I will no longer be using them for printing services because of this whole 3 month long debacle that ultimately just wasted my time.

Chay provided truly exceptional service. I came in to find out how to scan some printed photos and he was friendly and very helpful. He gave me a quick lesson on how to use the scanners and was available when I had an extra question. He gave me the feeling that he was glad to help and he made my experience at Mike’s camera a great one. Thanks so much
