I highly recommend Memory Forward for converting all formats of film and photos. Tom is highly professional and highly knowledgeable, taking care of all your memories. We ended up with 97 Gb on disc containing some video we had never seen from our long deceased family members. It is worth every penny.

Memory Forward is amazing! They just scanned and digitized over 6000 old photographic negatives for me. They organized them into hierarchical digital folders by decade, year and subject matter. They performed facial recognition on each photo, and now I can search for any one of 15 family members in seconds and only see photos with the request individual in them. Or I can search on "Christmas" to find all Christmas photos from 4 decades. All this was accomplished in less than four weeks. I like too that my irreplaceable negatives never left their building. For future storage security, the digital deliverable was provided to me in triplicate: flash drive, solid state hard drive and on a SmugMug cloud account. The latter is excellent for sharing with family and friends.

Tom, the manager was a pleasure to work with. He took the time to understand my needs and then exceeded my expectations. Cassandra is an artist, and did an amazing job establishing context on every photograph. She found a picture of our 2-year-old daughter sitting on the fender of our '79 Malibu, and another picture of her at college age sitting on the fender of same car! Priceless!!

I plan to next get Tom and his team to organize all my photos from the digital age, and to run facial recognition on them as well.

Memory Forward was a gem of a find, in an age when personal service is rare, or unaffordable.

(This is an update from my most recent experiences.)

Memory forward helped us to complete the tedious task of digitizing my 奶奶's many (20+) photo albums and distributing them for the whole family.

Their process is everything you would hope for. Meticulous, detailed, empathetic, and thoughtful. They place stickers in the front of your albums to remind you they are digitized, they helped to remind us of windows vs macs for the memory drives, and even have the option of creating your own website to hold photos/memories of your family.

They are paper wizards and archiving masterminds. I am thankful they're here. You won't regret choosing this team!!

Over past couple of years, I've used Memory Forward in three different projects to finally digitize all our old photos and negatives and slides that were just hiding away in boxes. I didn't want to risk mailing these off somewhere, so it was great to see a local company that offers this service at a reasonable price with high quality output.

Tom was extremely helpful each time and his and Laura's team have done an amazing service for my family. Not only did we preserve priceless photos, but we're now able to share them with family members all over the world and have inspired them to start digitizing their own albums.

If I'd known about them earlier, I'd have utilized their services many years ago.The Memory Forward team is very professional and friendly and it's absolutely worth the time and investment for every family to get this work done.

We had thousands of old photos in a variety of formats -- albums, envelopes, boxes -- that we wanted to digitize in advance of our 25th wedding anniversary. Memory Forward was phenomenal in meeting all our needs. From day 1 to the end of the process, they were responsive, thoughtful, and thorough. Upon submitting my inquiry to them, they immediately scheduled a call. On that call, Tom walked me through the process -- what to expect, how they handle the photos, and the options for various aspects. The rest of the process was just as smooth and the communication throughout was wonderful. The team accommodated a relatively tight timeline, yet did so with quality.

It is really clear that the entire team cares about their work and cares about preserving these important memories for their clients! I had contacted one other provider, and it was clear that they would not provide this level of care (in fact, I was concerned about trusting my photo collection to them).

If you are looking to digitize and organize your old photos and videos, you cannot go wrong with Memory Forward!

I used Memory Forward in 2017 and here in 2021, I'm coming back to write a review. Why? Because they deserve it.

I gave them a tremendous horde of family photos in many different states when my grandmother passed away. I knew that if the photos were divided up right then among my family members, we would never have a complete digital archive ever again, so I grabbed everything and contacted Memory Forward.

Basically, everything was lovingly cared for. All the photos were placed into new, high quality albums which look amazing. All of the photos were scanned in high quality AND all of the HANDWRITING on the backs of the photos or from marginal notes was encoded into the photo metadata, as well as any date information the team was able to ascertain. I literally can't imagine the service being any better than it was.

I took disorganized, slides, VHS tapes, and 8 mm film to Memory Forward and got back an organized and labeled flash drive with all my family's memories. Laura and Tom were very professional, courteous, and friendly each time we interacted. Despite the massive amounts of footage I handed over to them I was pleasantly surprised at how fast they finished. Their prices were very reasonable, especially to not have these precious items deteriorate further. Now my only problem is keeping this a secret for another month until my mom's birthday. I can't wait to see her face and share these on social media for the rest of my family to enjoy. Money well spent.
