I was able to buy my son a great 2nd hand digital camera for a school trip at a really fantastic price. Staff was very helpful and informative. Would definitely recommend. He is thrilled given we thought we would be buying a really basic camera with the budget we had and he was able to get a camera that costs a few hundred $ new.

I’ve been buying cameras and photo gear for the past 40 years. It’s been a long time since I’ve visited a camera store with the convenience of online shopping. The other day I walked into Madison PhotoPlus for the first time because on their website they had a previously owned camera body of a format that I had never used before that I was interested in. I wanted to take a look at it before purchasing and they are located not to far from my home. I walked out in an hour with that camera and macro lens for that body. Bret was as helpful as can be, the price was right, and he had exactly what I wanted. I was surprised to see such a huge inventory of new and previously owned gear. I felt right at home again in a photo store like I did before online shopping became so popular. The prices here I found on par with any of the online big boys. Bret made a PhotoPlus customer out of me in just one visit. I’m so glad I found them.

I normally don't put negative reviews, but I was really aggravated after stopping by Madison Photo on Main Street recently. My husband and I stopped in to get some information about having some pictures made and framed. There were two women working there. When we asked a question, neither of them looked up, and the one that did speak to us at all was incredibly rude and disrespectful for no reason. She seemed like she could not be bothered to help and just gave us a curt, dismissive remark. She was probably the most snooty person I've come across in a store. I remembered it being a friendly shop years ago. So much for shopping local. Absolutely no customer service. We will never return there again.
