I went to gallery showing of 4 5maybe six wonderful photographers. A director I work for has been exhibiting his work here in Europe, New York.

He’s doing what’s called now: street photography. Black and white. The show was outstanding. I went with a friend on a Saturday. Maybe four people were there.

20 minutes into it, it dawned on me that I was in that exact space in the early 90s when it was there’s happening Restaurant.

Like the gallery, it was two stories. The same staircase. The back walls, both upstairs and downstairs were pushed further back. The way it laid out now makes the entire environment personal.

It’s all allows you to have a personal experience as opposed to being in, what it used to be, when it gave the feeling of being a cavernous room.

The photography was upstairs. There is a nice leather bench. Late 50s 60s design.

Downstairs are the great cameras. From the moment you walk in, a man opens the glass door you step in everything is aligned. Everything has a purpose. It’s all done in a very clear straight lines. Nothing ostentatious.

It’s on Beverly Boulevard 45 to 60 feet east of Robertson Boulevard on the north side of the street. It has a very convenient parking area. No meters no valet you park your own car.

Regardless of what (shew) is being presented going there as a first stop before lunch or before another part of the adventure of your day that would be a great place to go.

Such a great store and the customer service was superb. Once entering the store I was warmly greeted by the staff and offered watered which was greatly appreciated in the hot Los Angeles weather. They have a lovely gallery upstairs one can observe and appreciate the work of Leica photographers. I felt right at home and was able to try out some cameras for myself and see how they feel and work. Definitely learned a lot about their cameras and how they function.

I stopped by with my buddy & he got a bunch of Leica branded accessories. I love the store setup.

The location is a great spot in between a bunch of great restaurants. The art gallery on top floor is solid & motivates you to wanna shoot photographs. The patio on the top floor is amazing.

I’ll definitely buy my first Leica there & this spot has a lot of amazing items to accessorize your camera with tons of lens options.

Came here for Mathieu Bitton's Paris Blues Q/A artist talk on 2/25/24. What an incredible artist, photographer, designer, producer, and grammy winner. He shared marvelous stories of his upbringing in Paris, venturing to flea markets, buying up rare vinyl records, and his love for Prince. He spoke about moving to Los Angeles at age 14 to be with his mother and being immersed in the LA culture. He also touched on him moving to New York to attend NYU boarding school. This is where his career really blossomed. As of right now, Mathieu Bitton has designed over 1000 LPs and CDs. He is a world-renowned collector of Black films. He has worked with and photographed many celebrities and recording artists. He was recently given a grammy for his work with Dave Chappelle.

What truly amazing life stories. We had an amazing time with an amazing person.

Can not wait for the book signing!

I visited the Leica store today to purchase the newly released camera. After hearing that the awaited product had arrived, I made a reservation and waited. While waiting for my contact who was on a call, a petite older woman approached me. I felt extremely uncomfortable and rude vibes from her behavior, expressions, and gaze, which were clearly indicative of racial discrimination. Despite my attempts to request additional purchases, she ignored me and proceeded to the checkout counter with a dismissive attitude. This is not the first time I've encountered her; she previously ignored my inquiries and instead approached her own customers, neglecting my presence. Today, I realized her discriminatory actions, and her expressions and gestures confirmed my suspicions. Despite paying the same price for Leica cameras as everyone else, her uniquely poor treatment makes me feel disheartened. I'll have to revisit this store for additional purchases, but the thought of encountering that woman again is disheartening. I hope she refrains from discriminating against people of Asian descent.

Additional note: When I initially wrote this review, I couldn't address certain aspects due to significant discomfort and feelings of disrespect towards a specific female staff member. The employee who actually helped me was John. He listened to all my questions about the camera and did his best to explain everything he knew. For areas where verbal explanations fell short, he went to the back of the store himself to bring out samples. John always made an effort to listen during our conversations and didn't forget to provide detailed advice on using the camera, such as initial setup, focusing, and various accessories. I was feeling quite hurt by the female staff here, but John's attentiveness eased my feelings. Honestly, I don't want to revisit this store, but since the Leica store is the only one in LA where I reside, if I do return, I will definitely seek out John.

This is a fantastic store - I made an appointment to try out the SL camera system and was very impressed. The camera felt great and performed well, at least I thought, with the short time I had to test run it in the store. The lens quality was great. Staff was very friendly and there is free parking right next to the store. Also, they have many photobooks and an art gallery up stairs, definitely worth a look. Leica is a more pricy camera system but I think the brand holds up to the price point. I hope to shoot Leica one day! Attached are some pictures I took with the Leica SL camera inside the store!

One of the most beautiful Leica stores worldwide exists in the heart of Beverly Hills. The second story is a dedicated gallery space, where different world-class photographers and upcoming talent are showcased each month.

High end and high class is the name of the game here. Prices are expensive because you are paying for the best quality that mankind can produce.

This store is fully stocked with all the latest Leica bodies and lenses. They have an amazing display with unique cameras and museum-like examples of what cameras look like on the inside.

Books, backpacks, camera straps, pins, and all sorts of other accessories can be found here.

They hold Leica Akademie classes here too, where photographers who are well-versed in their fields come to the store and teach a weekend workshop.

All the employees are super nice and knowledgable about camera equipment. They’re also all amazing photographers - don’t be shy to ask them about their work! It’s impressive!

Buy new cameras here. You can bring in your gear for repair, it may take months but it’s worth having an expert take care of your Leica.
