Previously had an issue with my Lenovo. It wouldn't charge. It also had a cracked rear cover. I asked for an estimate before repair and did not get one before the work was done. They claimed they repaired the motherboard and replaced the damaged rear cover and charged me a little over $300.00. When I got home I discovered the same problem. I realized after a while that my power supply was the issue. Replaced it and didn't have any issues. A couple of years later and the computer wouldn't start up. No charging lights, no nothing. Since they are close I decided to give them another shot with the background story hoping they will really troubleshoot and give me an honest answer. They plugged it in and nothing happened as I originally explained. Without taking a screw out or even keeping it to look at for a couple of hours they told me it was a bad motherboard and it would cost $300.00 to repair. I asked how could they give me a price without looking at it and was told "I've been doing this for 30 years and I know what I'm talking about"! Fortunately I didn't leave it. When I got back to my office I simply googled a question, did a test and discovered it was a bad battery that I will by for $26.00.

I went to Laptop MD to get a keyboard replacement for my laptop and they said it was something they have done before on the same laptop model so I trusted that they’d do a good job. Also they were charging a lot for the repair so I expected them to do a good job at least.

FIRST mistake they did was order the wrong color part for my laptop. I should’ve requested a refund there but naively I decided to TRUST them in getting the right part to fix my laptop. Then a few days ago I go in and they replaced the keyboard and I see the RGB lights on the laptop were in someway uneven and I think that was mainly due to the keyboard either being a cheap one or not an exact fit. Idk where they’re getting their parts but this keyboard doesn’t feel like the original and for a $326 repair I’d expect high quality official parts. So I go back they give me a refund and tell me to keep the repair. So cool right, WRONG I go home and try it out and notice TWO different keys aren’t working and also my keyboard doesn’t light up blue anymore.

I usually wouldn’t go to a repair shop but I genuinely wanted to believe that they cared about the work they do and I trusted them to do a good job on multiple occasions against my better judgement. As a customer, I feel BETRAYED by Laptop MD. I went in thinking they were experienced in solving my issue but it turns out they aren’t. This whole ordeal has been going on for around a month and it’s completely ruined my trust in them and maybe even repair shops as a whole. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Please find another shop that actually is reliable and takes care when doing repairs to your expensive device.
