Excellent A+++ service at Garry's Camera Repair. I purchased a Minolta XD11 35mm Film Camera from an estate sale and was excited to try it. I never shot with a film camera before, so it was something new, I wanted to do. Trying the camera out I struggled with the range finder and Light meter gauge on the camera. Sometimes the image would appear clear and other times it would be dark and hazy. I could never really trust what I was seeing, so I decided to send the camera to Garry's for a CLA. I searched around the internet for a while trying to find a vendor and was happy I found this shop. Communication was great and the process was easy. When I got my camera back it was like seeing for the first time, the image was crystal clear! No more haze, no more dark areas looking through the range finder. I was very pleased and I cannot wait to take the camera out and take some stinking photos!

Overall, the price is amazing. The service was amazing, and the communication was on point. I know I will be using Garry’s services again.

Garry is very personable and polite. He was communicative with me regarding my cameras and incredibly reasonable when it comes to repair. Even though I am far, if I ever have any camera issues I will definitely be sending my cameras to Garry. I highly highly recommend going to him if you have a broken camera. Genuinely a master of his craft and very knowledgeable.

horrible. sent my camera in to be CLAd, got a broken camera back. meter not functioning, several screws missing, and a capacitor knocked off its contact point.

they refused to refund. dont send any equipment that you care about here.

I was initially skeptical of the quality of the CLA because it took less than a day to complete repair. However, the quality of CLA was top notch. I sent in a completely inoperable Canon FTb (stuck shutter, stuck advance, broken preview/self timer level, etc.) and received a camera that feels like new. I can tell my camera was handled with care. Test rolls look great. Best prices I could find for SLR repair, great value. Thank you Garry!

I sent my Pentax LX for repair, communication was great until I got the camera back and notice it was not CLA'd and absolutely the same as it was, I tried to reach back and NEVER, never received and email back, I'm out of that money and a working camera, do not associate with Garry.

Such an efficient and pleasant experience. After no luck with several local camera repairmen, I contacted Garry via email with a repair inquiry I had for my Pentax ZX-50 and he got back to me the same day with repair details and a fair price quote. I shipped my camera out to him the next day following his instructions and he sent it back fully functional, lubricated, and cleaned only a few days later. I am finally enjoying shooting on 35mm and I can say it is all thanks to Garry and his quick yet precise workmanship. I highly recommend and do not see an alternative to repair. If I ever need work on anything else, I will certainly reach back out.
