such a good place to buy second hand cameras. the fact that you can only go by appointment makes the visit way more pleasant and personal. we were super well attended and all of the questions that we had (which were many) were answered. we got a contax G2 and a lens for a pretty good deal. Definitely recommend!!

預約制的二手相機店,其中一位店員會說中文,即便我們沒有預約,也通融我們在下一組客人前往前入內~

I really don't understand these latest negative reviews! I went today because I was looking for a medium format Fujifilm that I couldn't find in other stores. A little "scared" by the latest reviews, I had kept this shop as a last resort. I wrote around 2pm to find out if they had it in stock and, since I was in the area, if they still had room to go to the store. They responded to me shortly after telling me to come around 5pm. The service was FANTASTIC, the fact that they make appointments is to give you all the time you need (and also to have a chat about photography). The guy who served me let me try all the different machines and gave me the best advice. I left very satisfied and with an extra lens for my Contax!

P.S. The prices are exactly those of the market, you don't have to blame the shopkeepers but the fact that analogue is cool again (even too much) 🙁

Friendly and great service. Awesome selection of pristine condition, highly sought after cameras. Reasonable prices. Definitely give this place a visit if you are looking for a new film camera.

Horrendously poor treatment from the staff, regardless of Japanese speaking ability.

I was not aware that reservations were required, so after reading the sign on the door I turned away to leave only to be questioned aggressively by the worker standing behind the door. I explained that I did not make a reservation but wanted to look inside if it was alright with him, and with a scowl he said I had three minutes to look and leave. He then proceeded to scold me for taking a photo outside the store moments before, demanding that I not take photos of people (I was taking a picture of the street).

There are plenty of other stores in Tokyo with better prices and cameras. I was honestly shocked by this poor customer service that was very atypical of Japan. Not a good look for the store.

I wanted to visit the store and try what cameras and lenses they have but unfortunately, they are closed, you need to make an appointment before hand then go to store not good for me.

Film Camera Tokyo was already the most needlessly overpriced camera store in Tokyo, and it is now by appointment only too for that extra pressure while shopping.

You will generally paying a 20% premium, on top of extremely dubious evaluation of the goods (they're the poster child of excl5+++ greatly lit and well listed cameras that, at a closer inspection, look like someone played rugby with them).

I'd generally recommend shopping elsewhere, unless you want a Contax T2 or T3, for which they have a very large collection to choose from (again, at a 20% premium over any other store, and at least 30% over ebay)
