Here's the bottom line for my review: My repeat experiences here has been nothing short of fantastic. I'm a very happy customer and Camera Center of York has earned my loyalty and respect.

I live in Delaware and it's a boring 2 hour ride to come here. It's so worth it! Chris is a really nice, friendly, and knowledgeable guy. His love for what he does is evident. I've had him work on my Olympus OM-1 and on my Nikon FM. The prices have been very reasonable and the repairs have helped me keep these beautiful cameras in working order. I have no doubt I'll be returning if any of my current or future cameras need work.

I was in such a rush I did not catch a name of the woman I spoke to when I called at 4:40pm when they close at 5pm. She was so kind and so helpful to this very stressed out procrastinating Mother. I put off an important project for my daughter in laws baby shower and the hope now is to see if we can make magic happen before the weekend. Even if they can’t I will go back to them again when I’m ready to get my larger print job done without a rushed timeframe, simply because the customer service was so good. Plus, I like working with smaller businesses anyway.

It’s not often I review businesses online, but it’s not often that I’m completely amazed by a business. I’ve been having a problem with my camera getting sharp images and I was ready to just give up on it, sell it to him, and start over with a different camera. I walked in the door with no appointment, and he dropped everything and helped me out. We had a long conversation about how I shoot, what I shoot, which cameras or lenses would work for me, and how nice the camera is that I was trying to give up on. He then took it in the back and calibrated my lenses, isolated what the problem is (it’s a lens issue, not the camera), and even told me how to get it fixed as a warranty issue. The guy helped me fall back in love with a hobby that had become more stressful than relaxing, and he did it without trying to upsell me or talk me into spending money I didn’t have on things I don’t need. Truly amazing, I haven’t been this impressed with a business in a long time and I really can’t say enough positive things.

I stopped here on my way to visit family in PA. Never knew about this store or much about this area in the town. I knew the store had some camera gems from what was posted online and had to stop by to see if it was true. What I saw online was a fraction of what is actually in store. Chris assisted me and I was blown away by his knowledge on cameras (he knew everything and I'm not exaggerating). He helped me find an odd camera accessory I wanted and showed me how to work it. His friendliness and knowledge on cameras makes it worth stopping by the store. When I drive 2 hours to visit my family from now on, I will have to do a detour to stop by here. I made a comment about how I didn't like the viewfinder in my nikon fe and he recommended the nikon fe2 and ran down the differences between the two from the top of his head. Even if you can't make it in the store, calling in to see if they have something available in stock because they probably will like in my case. I can't recommend this store enough!! This place is a real gem and definitely deserves its praise. I will treasure my camera I got from here for a long time and not just for the camera but for the experience purchasing it.

The owner and staff showcase the best of small businesses. Every camera i’ve had repaired had personalized care and returned in a timely manner. Every film roll (minus 1) has been developed without issue; even taking requests of stand/semi-stand development techniques. I could not recommend this place enough. If you have a hint of interest in photography this place is a must see.

It's a beautiful shop with very kind people. I was visiting the town while I need 6 photos crop to a customized size. It required very precise cut 18 times. The staff took great labor doing it for me, always measure twice for every cut. Really appreciate!
