Absolutely atrocious attitude. Hope this store closes down asap. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Why spend your hard earned money here when you can go somewhere your business is appreciated!

As a photography hobbyist, I visited Black Market with specific lenses and kits in mind to check out. Unfortunately, the experience was unpleasant. The owner (?) I spoke to had a terrible attitude. Before I could even specify the lenses I was looking for, he abruptly said they had no stock. However, when I used some technical photography terms, he seemed to realize I knew what I was talking about and only then decided to assist me.

Even worse, he cursed at my friends who were with me at the shop, which was completely uncalled for. His behavior was rude, unprofessional, and possibly racist.

I strongly discourage anyone from visiting this place. Instead, head to Funan Mall nearby for a better experience. This shop doesn’t deserve customers.

Been a long time customer but have decided to take my business elsewhere, realized the prices here are actually more expensive then else where. A M42-M43 adapter was $50, on shopee it's $12~.

It doesn't end there, as much as their camera stock is plentiful, film cameras are meant to be used to keep the lubricant and oils in good condition, items in prolonged storage will lead to issues when using it, so this happened to one of my purchases where after 2 weeks the camera stopped working, was not worth sending it for servicing as per the workshops so I cut my losses.

The recent experience I guess is the nail in the coffin, is when I came to find something but I got quite rude and uninterested customer service. If you want a business to have repeat customers, then you need to provide good service.

got a brand new sony a5000 from this store (with lens included) at around $570, and i’m honestly loving it. the storekeeper was super straightforward and doesn’t sugarcoat his words. even taught me about aperture settings when i inquired about it because im a beginning photographer (aka a noob 😭). you either love or hate him, no in between tbh. personally my experience was fine and i got what i needed, so all’s good!

Not open on 26/10/2024 @ 3.33pm though Google Maps stated it’s open from Mon - Sat; similarly stated at the shop front. No notice whatsoever of the reason for closure or if it’s closed due to late lunch break. Wasted trip

Went in for a simple question and was rudely treated by him. Nobody else was in the store. sarcastic fella, abit shocked to receive this treatment. Hope those who are interested in dropping by this store, read the reviews and don’t bother asking him questions because he’ll surely not entertain you. Would give 0 stars but for this review, i had to give 1

Oh shit I didn’t rate this place?

I used to frequent this shop even back when they are on the first level. I have seen the nice side and the horrible side of possibly the owner of the shop cause he has always been the same face I saw. I admit they were nice at the beginning, but just after a couple of years, the attitude and service he presents sours the air around him. So sad to see.

Attitude and Service aside, their products are always a little more expensive. Now with Shopee, Aliexpress and Amazon being so easy to access to accessories, and Ebay for used camera gear, neighboring used camera gears as well. This ultra sad store is just for evaluating whether the product is over the market price.

Let me share my part of the story.Don't know before hand so many bad review about this shop.Browse at the canon EF lens from outside of the shop. Went in the shop to check if there is any EF-S lens. Was browsing at the back of the shop when a person in cap approach me and told me the inner part of the shop was out of bound. Apologies to him , come out from the inner part of the shop and explain to him I did not know the back of the shop was out of bound as there was not sign or line draw. Asked him politely where is the boundry of the shop. So he point to me customer can only stay at the front part. As the lens are all at the inner back of the shop, I want out of the shop again to brows from the glass windows. And I saw the person from inside the shop,cross both his hands to make a X sign and from the shape of his mouth , I guessed he said shop close. So I went in to the shop, trying to clear up any misunderstanding. The moment I step in, he told me the shop is closed to me permanently. I asked him to for a explaination. He told me no explanation. I told him that not the way to treat a customer. He told me he had asked me to leave the shop nicely already. I left the shop puzzle and upset by his behaviour. Google this shop reviews on my way home and read the reviews of this shop. If I know I will be expecting this type of treatment, maybe I will enjoy 'that' moment. For those who wanted to experience this male Karen, do drop by the shop. I am not going to part my money for Mr Karen.
