Been going here ever since I got my first film camera a couple years ago, the staff are very willing and eager to help, my first roll came back blank back in the day, and they were super helpful and didn’t charge me for it back then. The manager Jordan is always friendly and helpful when I come in, and Eli is super knowledgeable especially about all things film. Their turn around times are phenomenal as well. I’ve probably brought dozens of rolls in now and have bought almost all my film through them and have never had a bad experience.

I love Allen's. I'm chronically in there because I shoot a lot of film and get it developed primarily at Allen's. Being on a first name basis with many of the staff helps with receiving good service, but in all the time I've spent in there waiting for film to be developed (they sometimes will do it right away while I'm there because I only pay for developing) I've never seen them give subpar service to any of the other patrons. I also have to commend them for putting customers first, I generally hear really good advice being given out as opposed to aggressive up selling or taking advantage of less knowledgeable customers. Overall I would highly recommend Allen's for buying or developing film, prints, general photography accessories and equipment (bags, lens caps, SD cards), or to browse some used cameras. They do have some new cameras and lenses but not a ton. Whatever they do have they're usually happy to show you. If it isn't obvious already, I highly recommend this store!!

Overpriced, but a good camera store. Don’t go here for beginner equipment, get something used on eBay. But they are great for processing film and I would buy film there in a pinch.

I went in for a new video camera. I am camera illiterate. Eli and crew made this process super simple and easy for me. They helped me find accessories in store and on internet that were perfect for the camera and my purchase. I was super grateful for the help and knowing I got the right camera.

Highly recommend going elsewhere for large photo prints. I recently had Allen’s print 2 36x24 photos to gift to family, and the quality is pretty sad. Colors in certain areas are non-existent, strange purple pixelating in other areas, and crinkles on the edges of them from being shoved in the canister. I feel I can’t even gift these anymore. Some will say you can blame it on monitor calibration or camera settings, but I’ve had prints done at other print stores and never had a problem. Allen’s has been great for other services such as processing film, lens calibration, etc. This review is strictly based on large photo prints.

Unfortunately they have recently lost my trust and respect. Including having a Great Dane dog at the store, not answering phone calls/ having communication, and not even being open when their online system allowed me to rent a lens from them. Left me stranded when I needed/ planned on help. I also had a late rental (by accident- kid was incredibly sick), and when trying to communicate next steps, they did not communicate with me until they charged me a massive fee. Then communication was stubborn and lacking. Just a bummer- not the Allen’s I remember and trusted. I won’t be able to continue using their company.
