Poor customer service. I took my items in to be printed and was told it would be ready the following Monday. I waited until Tuesday afternoon to go pick up my order and it wasn't done. I was told they were working on it. Went back Thursday morning to get order. First the shop which was supposed to be open at 10am did not open until 10:20 when the employee finally showed up. Who has a business that posts business hours as 10am Monday thru Friday and then doesn't open until 10:20. Then I was told my order was not complete and it was being worked on. Very frustrated. I just hope the product is good once I get it.

Poor customer service. I did an online order and requested that my pictures be matte. When I came to pick up my order only one photo was matte. I informed the young guy at the front desk and he just looked at it. I asked them why they were not all matte and he said they ran out of the paper. I asked them if it was customary to not call the customer to let them know and he didn't have an answer. No apology or anything. Very poor customer service. When he first gave me my photos, he just handed them to me and said nothing.

Henley's is the only reliable place in Bakersfield for high quality film development. Their printing is top notch too. I can't say much for everything else. But hey, where else am I going to get film developed?

EDIT: I'm pretty sure they've closed down now. Which kind of sucks because I still have a roll of film I had developed and was never given back.

I am a regular customer of Henley's photo and they even know my name. I have spent around $800 in mostly film develment in the last year. I also develop and scan my own photos

Pros: development and scanning is second to none. Their Noritsu scanner is amazing

Cons: Chemistry is usually off and it could take weeks or even a month to get photos developed without telling you before you pay.
Poor customer service.
New employee at the counter everytime I go in.
When making a mistake which usually happens;an excuse is made.
They will scan a photo and forget to email it. Even worse email you someone else's photos!
Even long time employee Jimmy Bunting has stood me up.
Sometimes photo will be done and they won't tell you.
Photos have also been lost.
Lack of communication.
You get the feeling that you must walk on eggshells around their employees so you can get your photos in a reasonable time.
I don't like giving bad reviews to places I frequent so often but it has come to this.
On my last order I called after a week and they told me that my photos have been developed and scanned and they haven't emailed them. The guy on the phone gave me an attitude because he thought I pressure him. It's been 3 weeks and I keep emailing me the wrong copy. I've left several emails without a response and they have moved and got rid of their storefront.

I have resulted to using Richard photo lab in Valencia and the dark room. Com. I have never had an issue out of town. Sad to say this but businesses like this are contributing to the death of film and local service.

Lied lied LIED about being open during holiday time! Their website is inaccurate leaving the customer in the dark. So much for THAT special christmas gift I ordered from them. They left me stranded at the most important of times.

Worst customer service ever...staff is not friendly and very rude. After waiting in the lobby for 10 min, I had to call on the phone just to get someone to come to the front. I was overcharged, then expected to drive back so they could refund their mistake

Not only that but, my order was dropped of on March 8th, and here we are now in May....and my second order was just dropped on the counter with "yeah we cant do these"

I've had VHS tapes made into DVD's. I've had slides made into photos. I've found camera batteries that I couldn't find anywhere else. Henleys can do just about anything you desire in the photo business. They have been in business many many years. They're fast, efficient, reliable, courteous and so polite. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my photo business.
