Very nice, there’s a lot of choices when it comes to camera. Staffs very friendly and will assist you to get your preferred camera. Me and my Girlfriend enjoyed their service. Will buy again next time.

CONTAXTVSを一台77,000円16,011台湾ドルで購入しましたが、現場では何の故障も告知されず、しかもカメラの横には大きな売れ筋商品が貼られていました。

フィルムを購入した後は喜んで全行程を撮りましたが、2人のおじいさんが見ていた店だったので、少し不安だったので、帰国してから時間を見つけて検査に持っていくことにしました。結局、お店の人は私に、これは故障した機械だと言いました。問題は一つだけではなく、必ずしも直るとは限りません。

一番悲しかったのはモーターの問題で、撮り終わっても完成しないので、撮った写真はすべて問題があるかもしれないので、フィルムはお勧めしません。全行程の思い出がなくなってしまいました。

日本に行く皆さん、この店には絶対に行かないでください。今でもこの件をどうするか考えています。

但因為是兩位老爺爺看的店 有點不放心
所以回台灣後決定找時間拿去檢測
結果店家跟我說這是一台故障機…
問題還不只一個地方 也不一定能修好

最讓我難過的是因為馬達問題
過片不完成 拍出來的可能都有問題
所以不建議沖洗
整趟旅程的回憶都沒了

去日本玩的各位 千萬不要去這家店…
現在的我還在想如何處理這件事

I’m going on a week trip from Tokyo to Osaka this weekend. My passion is night photography, however, I wanted to try something new for traveling during the day. So, I decided to get into film photography.

I went to Used Camera BOX in Shinjuku after browsing Google Maps.

I was looking for a cheaper lens since I have basically no experience with film style, but I wanted something that could zoom.

As soon as I entered the store, they wanted to geek out over my Sony a7iii camera setup. I can barely speak Japanese to N5 level, but I definitely understood that much ?. They can speak some English too.

They helped me find a nice vintage lens that was what I was looking for, however it wasn’t compatible with the Sony E Mount.

They didn’t have an adapter in stock, but the lady working there checked the stock of a different camera store nearby and found the adapter. She actually insisted on going with me to the store to make sure I was able to find it. I was very surprised and extremely thankful at that level of customer service. (It was maybe 36 degrees C outside— hot!)
We found the adapter and everything worked perfectly.

Thank you Used Camera Box!! I’m really excited to try out film style!

Densely packed store with mostly vintage film cameras, lenses, and accessories of every brand imaginable. This shop is old school. Expect to rub elbows with people while you're here, space is tight because the inventory is massive.

Scored a beautifully maintained Minolta XE for a great price... The gentlemen popped batteries into it to test it before they sold it to me and it appears to have fresh light seals. The employees took note of my XD-s and seemed genuinely interested in it. As I paid they told me "ganbatte!". What an amazing experience!

Was looking for a film camera to buy in Tokyo and went to a few different spots in the same area and ended up buying from Used camera box. They had a nice selection of what I was looking for, and it was cheaper than other places. They also take cc and do tax free which was a bonus as other places were cash only. Their cameras are in amazing condition! Staff didn’t speak much English but they helped us out. Be sure to have your passport so you can buy tax free. If you need film I think you can find somewhere else cheaper. Oh the place with the actual cameras is on the second floor. The basement only has junk cameras

Came here cuz of YouTube and TikTok recommendations. As the pictures show, it’s a small shop with cabinets full of cameras, lenses, etc. however, there is no sense of organization (except the Leicas and high end Nikons) so it’s quite difficult to navigate. The cameras that are in possibly good condition are locked behind display cases with no labels that indicate their flaws, unlike other camera shops. The prices are also surprisingly on the higher end vs other stores in the area. The cameras in the boxes are all wrapped in plastic making them hard to appraise and honestly all look like junk/for parts.

Will not be returning, save yourself the effort and try the other camera shops in the area.

Boxes upon boxes upon boxes (and some nice glass cabinets too) of all kinds of used cameras and lenses. A treasure trove of anything and everything with super friendly and knowledgable staff who speak enough English to help you find whatever you desire. I picked up a nearly-pristine vintage Nikkor 85mm f/2 for a decent bargain and shot several enjoyable days in Tokyo with it on my ancient Nikon FE. Love this place!

We came in looking for a digital camera.
Owners made the initiative to come and help us. However, we weren’t allowed to test out the camera ourselves or even hold the camera. I also felt like the owners wanted to sell us the older models. He was very insistent that it was a good camera. After buying it and testing it for ourselves the camera quality is terrible. 135$ for a Nikon coolpix is on the higher end and was not a decent deal.
